Zoella x Colourpop Review

When Zoella announced she was releasing a make-up line in collaboration with Colourpop, I knew I needed to pick up some pieces. I've always wanted to try Colourpop make-up but always been hesitant as to what to try first. Zoella's collaboration has a mix of products from an eyeshadow palette, to lips and face powders. All the products I chose are both cruelty free and vegan apart from the palette (which is cruelty free but not vegan).

Brunch Date Palette $18
The first product I chose was the Brunch Date palette. I love the theming and packaging of the range, and the palette has to be my favourite product from the whole range. It has 6 mattes and 6 shimmer shades and the colour range is gorgeous. The shades are highly pigmented and they blend so well. My favourite colours are the blue shade 'Brunch Club' and the metallic rose gold shade 'Skinny Latte'. It's the perfect palette for everyday looks but still versatile enough for evening looks too.

Soul Mate Blush $8
I'm not usually a fan of blusher but when I saw the shade of this one I had to put it in my basket. Being so pale I struggle to find a blush that adds a natural flush of colour that isn't too dark. The formula is so silky and sheer at first but it can be layered to look more rosy.

Group Hug - Shadow Bundle $14
The bundle contains 2 different liquid eye shadows; Bellini - a metallic rose gold and OG - a golden champagne with silver glitter.

They are both highly pigmented, but I'm slightly disappointed in the shades. They're both really similar looking from the swatches, with one being slightly darker and more rosy, and OG being slightly sheerer and more golden. They dry really fast, so you have to work quickly with them, but they work really nicely over other eyeshadows.

Ultra Matte Lips $6.50 each
I've heard amazing things about Colourpop's liquid lips so I decided to go for Self Love Club - a gorgeous red, and Little One - a mauve nude. The formula of these are lovely, the dry down really quickly, but aren't too drying throughout the day. They're really long lasting too, and really easy to apply.

Overall, I really like all the products and the formulas are great. My favourite products are definitely the liquid glitter eye shadows and the palette. All the Colourpop products are so affordable, and I'd love to try more from the Colourpop range.

Until the next post,
Becci x

  1. It's such a shame about the liquid eye shadows, they really are so similar! They would be the thing that drew me to the collection. It's also a shame that Colourpop doesn't have UK stores/stockists because it makes it such a hassle to get. I'd be much more likely to try some of the collection if the buying process was easy.

Glad you liked the products overall!

  2. Yeah they're lovely shades, but would be so much better if they were completely different! I'd love to see Colourpop stocked in the UK - would make it so much easier!
