2019 Goals - Zoella Planner

Every year I feel like there's a pressure to set a New Year's resolution like going to the gym everyday or eating no chocolate, and by the 2nd week of January everyone's already starting to struggle, which sets the year off to a bad start. I decided instead of making resolutions that I know I won't stick to, make little goals that are achievable and will keep me happy and motivated throughout the year.

I got the Zoella planner for Christmas and I absolutely love it. It has a page for yearly goals a page for each months goals, and a review of the month at the end of each one. Having my goals written down really helps me stick to them, whether it's in a planner or just a plain notebook.

Get Organised
Anyone that knows me will know I'm obsessed with stationary, which you would think would mean I'm organised... but I'm definitely not. This year I'm hoping to be on top of things like to do lists, meal planning, budgeting etc, which gives me an excuse to buy a nice new notebook for each one!

Have A No Spend Week
Instead of a no spend month, (which I know I wouldn't stick to) a no spend week instead. I'm not putting a amount of how many weeks during the year I'll do this, but every couple of months, just have a week where I don't but anything non-essential.

Less Screen Time
Recently on my iPhone I found a section under setting called 'Screen Time'. It basically allows you to see how long you spend on your phone per day or per week, track what time in the day you use certain apps, how many notifications you get per app and set time restrictions for certain apps. It also send you a notification of a weekly report on whether your screen time has gone down from the week before. It's definitely making me use more phone less and it's scary to see how many hours I waste per week scrolling through social media.

Read A Book Every Month
This might not sound like a challenge for most people but I'm so bad at getting into a book. I used to love reading, but instead of reading 9 times out of 10 I'll pick up my phone over a book (and then wonder why it takes hours for me to fall asleep)

Do A HUGE Declutter
I have a lot of useless crap. Things I know I'll never use but just can't be bothered to throw away. One episode of Tidying Up with Marie Kondo on Netflix and I feel ready to get rid of half of my belongings... but seriously nothing feels better than making sure everything has it's own place, and keeping everything tidy.

And that's pretty much it for my goals this year! Nothing too crazy but I wanted to keep it simple and things I knew I would stick to.
