Top 5 Dry Winter Skin Essentials

Every time the cold harsh weather comes around, my skin gets dry, itchy and irritated and going from cold air outside, and the warmness inside makes it easy to forget to take care of our skin.

I like to switch up the products I use in the Winter time, to ones more hydrating and thicker, and it really makes a difference. My first essential is a sheet mask. Sheet masks are so hydrating and feel so cooling if your skin is irritated from the temperature changes. One of my favourites is the Holika Holika Avocado Sheet Mask, as it's perfect for skin flakiness and combating redness.

Another face mask I love to use is the Superdrug Jam Mask. It contains Orange Peel to help gently exfoliate (and it smell amazing!) as well Kakadu Plum which contains a high amount of Vitamin C to make your skin look brighter. It gives a warming sensation when applied and after 5-10 minutes you can see an instant improvement.

I'm so bad at looking after my hands in the Winter, as I hate the feel of thick, greasy hand creams that never sink in properly. When Zoella brought our her first hand cream a few years ago, I instantly loved it and have bought every one she's brought out since! It so lightweight yet moisturising and the scents are always amazing.

I never used to exfoliate my skin outside of Summer, as I thought it would make my dry skin worse. As long as I'm using a gentle exfoliater, such as Lush's Cup O' Coffee, and only use it once or twice a week, I see a massive difference. It smells incredible, and can be left on like a face/body mask and then gently scrubbed while rinsing to exfoliate.

My favourite moisturiser for when my skin is feeling tight and flaky is the Dr Botanicals Tropical Invigorating Cream. A small bit of this goes a long way and feel so hydrating instantly. It contains Aloe Vera and Chamomile so is perfect for soothing sensitive skin as well.

Until the next post, Love
