Veganuary Food Haul Aldi (Under £15)

Over 225,000 people have signed up for Veganuary this year - which is incredible. And with so many supermarkets and restaurants taking part with so many new and exciting options, there's a substitute for almost everything!

At the beginning of the month ALDI released a Specialbuys section of vegan products in most of their stores around the UK, and after seeing all the amazing products they had an offer I had to go and stock up on some essentials.

Firstly a vegan staple - Nutritional Yeast £2.99 (normally around £3.50)
These little flakes have a nutty/cheesy taste and are a great source of vitamin B12 which is typically found in animal products. It's great for sprinkling over pasta, salad, vegetables, soup or for making a vegan cheese sauce.

Another store cupboard essential is Maple Syrup/Carob Fruit Syrup £1.99.
I like having both to hand, as I use them for slightly different things. I love making granola, and topping pancakes with Maple Syrup, whereas I like to use the Carob Fruit Syrup for baking and as an alternative to sugar.

A new discovery to me is Jackfruit £1.09. (normally around £2.50 - £3) A great meat alternative for pulled pork and makes great tacos, burgers, fajitas etc.

A lot of regular crisps are vegan but my favourite brand of crisps has to be Eat Real. They do amazing crisps in all different flavours and I picked up these Tomato and Basil Hummus chips for just 99p (normally £1.70) They also had a new type of crisps called POP Outs, which are popped vegetable crisps which sounds amazing for also 99p.

Even though I try to be as healthy as possible since being Vegan, I like to have a few little treats in case I feel a craving for something sweet. I was so happy to find the Lazy Days Chocolate Chip Shortbread for just 99p! (normally £2.50) and also the best vegan chocolate, Moo Free for £1.50 (normally £2.50)

Lastly, one of my favourite vegan products Sweet Freedom Choc Pot, £2.25 (normally £3) which is essentially a 100% natural vegan chocolate spread. It's great for spreading on toast, adding onto porridge, or baking with.

ALDI has a great range of vegan store cupboard essentials all year round such as cacao powder and chia seeds but what they have on offer this month is next level! Make sure you get down to ALDI before the end of the month to pick these and so much more up!

Love Becci x

  1. I saw these in ALDI today and picked a few things up but they didn't have the chocolate chip shortbreads :( I'll keep an eye out for next time! Thanks xx

  2. I’m hoping they keep some stuff permanently but I think that’s wishful thinking! The shortbreads are great - you can get them on Holland and Barrett and other places for £2.50-£3 so it’s definitely worth a hunt in Aldi for them! X
