I absolutely love wrapping presents, I'm not sure why but it gives me such satisfaction buying pretty wrapping paper and making it look extra with bows and ribbons and little gift tags.
This year I'm trying to use more eco-efriendly wrapping paper, such as plain brown paper and DIYing it to look prettier as so rolls of wrapping paper you buy in the shops aren't recyclable.
Stamps
I bought these cute stamps from Poundland, and I think they're so cute! You can buy Christmas stamps in so many places, all different sizes and use whatever colour ink you like. I went for black to make it show up more on the brown paper, and finished it off with some red and white twine. I found these blackboard tags in The Range, and just wrote the name of the recipient on the tag with a chalk pen. I love this as it has the rustic feel to it so it doesn't have to look perfect!
Washi Tape
For this one I got a range of washi tape from Hobbycraft, and just simply wrapped it around the present. I used different designs next to each other, but you could use just one roll if you prefer. I then just used some alphabet stamps to print the name in the corner, which is a nice alternative to a gift tag.
Red and Gold
This one is so simple but effective! Find some lovely long ribbon, whatever thickness you like and tie a bow on the present as you would normally (if you struggle with this I found an amazing how-to here). Then with a gold marker or pen write the recipients name. I went onto Pinterest and found a fancy font that I liked and tried to recreate it. Alternatively, you could print a font out and trace over it.
Cookie Cutter Stencil
Another really simple idea! Grab a Christmas shaped cookie cutter, or draw freehand if you can!, and with a coloured pen (silver, gold or white looks good!) place the cookie cutter onto the paper and draw round it. Create a pattern by moving the cutter around and drawing round it until you have covered the present!
Add Some Decoration
Whether it's small baubles, bells, or fake holly leaves adding some decoration to the ribbon will make it look special and they can keep the decoration to reuse! For a personal touch, use a bigger decoration that you'll know they love and include it as a gift such as a gingerbread man bauble, or a little quote plaque.
Love Becci xx
